Alyssa graduated from high school in May of 2015. She is going to college at Brigham Young University - Idaho in Rexburg. She absolutely loves it. Her first day of college was great. She was worried about the Musicianship Entrance Exam and her trombone auditions (5 songs). Well she passed the exam with an 80%, aced her trombone auditions and was placed in the Symphonic Band (2nd highest band at the University, first chair and section leader), and was placed in the Jazz Band as first chair trombone! She was so excited! This past summer she worked for Goddard School (a day care) as a teacher's assistant. She loves kids! She is amazing at the piano, and fabulous on the trombone. She has a good heart, and an amazing testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She is trustworthy, kind, honest, and a great friend to everyone.
For my birthday one of my friends, and mom to one of the preschoolers I teach, made me this fabulous birthday cake with the names of each of the preschoolers written on the crayons. I loved it!! It was such a thoughtful thing to do!
In October 2012, Tyler completed his Eagle Scout project, a Child Safety Fair. We held it at the elementary school in our neighborhood. He had stations throughout the gym (fingerprinting, stranger danger video, train safety, the local police talking about stranger danger, and our neighborhood fire station brought a fire truck and talked about fire safety).
